Grouping Image and Text Boxes together to move/copy/paste

The single most frustrating element of the current software is the lack of being able to group images and text boxes together.

It takes a very long time to perfectly align images and text together on the page, and if you decide that you'd like them all moved slighly in any direction you basically start from scratch. If you need to move one layout to another page, you are required to copy and paste each box and then realign them again.

A feature similar to that in Publisher (where you can group or ungroup) would be ideal, but even just being able to hold ctl button down to group items temporarily would be greatly appreciated

Hey Jess, another great request and one that we completely understand your frustrations.

See my response to the alignment request regarding how we'll be improving on the aligning of images.

In regards to the grouping of image we know that this would be a great help to users and this is part of our development plan for the next major version (expected release summer 2010).

What you can do though that would save you time coping and pasting layouts across different pages would be to use the 'Save Template' feature. This allows you to save you current page's layout as a user template (in the Templates Palette). Once this has been added to the templates you can then apply it to your pages simply by dragging & dropping or to add to multiple pages right click menu 'Insert Template..'

Hi,

I've just downloaded the new software (version 2.14.) and was hoping we would be able to group images together now. I cant seem to figure it out though, could you please point me in the right direction or was grouping not included in this release?
