How to add pics at 'native' aspect ratio and resolution so it can be resized proportionaly by dragging corner, then optimized when layout finalised?
Hi Leo,
To Fill an image to frame, when you drop your picture into the desired image box, it will place the whole picture in; However if you image box is not big enough to support the full size of the image, some of your picture will be cropped.
To Fit your image to frame, once you have dropped in your picture to the desired Image box and you choose the Fit to frame option, this will then show your picture in full, to the size of the box you have selected.
To then get your picture bigger, simply adjust the box by moving the corner markers, to suit the effect you are after.
Thanks - I thought I was talking to myself. But now that I have been doing battle for a while, I would like to have:
- a way to work on one page only. The double spread on an A3 album makes everything too small. Have to constantly go to preview and zoom.
- a small read-out of the size (in mm) and resolution (dpi)
- a way to group a pic with its caption so that it is easier to migrate both to another page.
- a way to group several pics, or a page, to cut and paste to a new location
- a better way of alighning images (as for example the system used by GetDigital)
- some more semi fancy types, like say Benguit.
- the better answer to my question was to double-click the pic file and then lock aspect ratio.
I have already done all my picture modification in another graphics program.
I am using Clickonprint because I saw your examples at the Darling Harbour show and you are the only ones to offer many pages and A3. I need an album for over 400 pics plus some type.
Got that off my chest. Regards - LeoG
Hi there. Can you please tell me how I might align images on the page? For example, I have inserted an image box, then dragged my photo into the image box. If I moved that image box around, and then decided I wanted it to sit right in the centre of that one page, is there a way to do this? Kind of like in powerpoint, where you select the image, align and choose the alignment. Thanks!
Michaela, your query looks like a variant of one of the points I made. I can only suggest working to the grid to get the page centre. It would be nice if we could select several images at once and, as you say, 'Align to centre - align tops/borroms' etc. Hope someone can give you a better answer, I too would be most interested. Regards - LeoG
Yeah the aligning option is probably the one thing stopping ClickonPrint from competing with others such as Momento. I have also expressed a desire for them to include a PDF Proof mode so that I can output a PDF proof of a book to show clients before I put an order in.
I would also like the ability to order multiple books in one transaction, currently I have to upload and pay for each one seperately which is a little outdated, I would love to have a "Upload Another" option before processing payment.

I have just ordered my first item and have found the programme very simple to use. However like Leo Glockermann I would like to be able to copy/cut & paste onto another page as I found that I wanted to move a single page into another area for better flow / change of idea. It was fine for a double page but with the single I had to redo the whole the page. I presently don't have another programe to edit the photos so had the job of re-editing the photo's as well (another for the list of must haves).
Having in the past been publisher of my own magazine and been able to print a proof copy layout prior to going to the printers it would be extremely useful to print a PDF proof to allow a visual of final layout prior to ordering. This would greatly assist in ensuring images/section details have been correctly chosen to fit in with the size of book and the flow.
In relation to alignment of images I have been using the grid and agree an alignment option would be beneficial.
I am quite taken with the programme just have to wait to see how the screen adjustments to the printed copy match. I am looking at maybe upgrading my monitor to allow clearer detailed adjustments.

Hi,
I'm a new user and I am struggling to work out how to insert the layout templates for a double page. When I click to insert a message comes up asking me to insert the page range, but it wont let me select or type anything in on the pop up. What am I doing wrong?
all help/advice appreciated!
Thanks.
Hi Anne
I hope this is what you mean.
On the Right side of screen under templates you will see 2 tabs
1. Backgrounds
2. Layouts - Choose layouts and drop down menu (choices 1-2 photos; 3-4photos; etc at the bottom is the double page layout)
Hope this helps you. Have a Happy New Year.
